Heritage Builds Largest Walmart in D.C.
Heritage Mechanical completed work this month on the new 120,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter in Fort Totten Square (Washington, D.C.). The store was developed by The JBG Companies and Lowe Enterprises and today employs approximately 400 full- and part-time associates.
The First Walmart in the District
The new Walmart store on H Street is not only the first Walmart to be built in Washington, D.C., but also features a unique concept for the retailer. Part of an “urban experiment,” the store is a small 73,000 square feet in size, sits below a 303-unit apartment complex, and is designed to serve the specific needs of the neighborhood.
Heritage Mechanical successfully performed as the mechanical contractor.
